Went to Field + Supply last weekend as a visitor instead of as a vendor and had the best time. This market never fails to impress me on so many levels. The talent that is represented there is off the charts, and the overall vibe is in equal portions chill and vibrant (thanks to Brad Ford ID). Loved catching up with so many friends that I’ve made over the course of doing the markets there.
One of the standout experiences I had was getting my portrait taken, with my dog Toby, by @kristopherjohnsonphotography. It was really fun to see him in action. While we were waiting for our turn we could see the beautiful portraits of the people ahead of us (@ravenandboar) that he effortlessly created, and when it came our turn, he kept the magic going. I am so used to banging out photos from my phone without any pro lighting to do what I need to do for @mplusanyc; seeing what @kristopherjohnsonphotography was able to do with a proper digital camera and diffused lighting within a black tent was an eye opener. Also, I have to give him major credit for barking like a dog to get Toby’s attention, which also resulted in my cracking up. Brilliant!
He is based in Kingston, NY — look him up! His Pop Up Portrait Studio (PUPS) is available for weddings, family reunions, fundraisers, etc.
I’m wearing M+A NYC ring and necklace, Home and Loft top, Ulla Johnson pants, I Am Intentionally Blank sandals, and glasses from Moscot NYC.
