KINGSTON DESIGN SHOWHOUSE 2020

Still thinking about how wonderful and inspiring the Third Annual Kingston Design Showhouse was last month.  I feel lucky and honored to have been a part of it.   It made me so happy to see M+A NYC in a couple of the rooms in this grand old house, and to see our pieces mixed in so beautifully with the work of other designers that I greatly admire.  Am grateful to Krishna Fitzpatrick of Krishna Fitzpatrick Interiors and Maryline Damour and Melvin Jones of Damour Drake for including me in their projects.

The photo above is of my husband, Smitty, standing out in front of the showhouse just before it opened on the day of our visit.

Krishna Fitzpatrick showcased a bunch of M+A product in her gorgeous sunroom makeover.  I would love to have this room at my house;  it's serene, chic and very comfortable. The light that streams through the room during the day is spectacular and Krishna used beautiful layered lighting to great effect, keeping the glow going in the evenings.  See images below:

Damour Drake's space pictured below was a colorful and eclectic pandemic work-at-home room designed for both adults and children.  A big part of their theme was inclusivity.    In Maryline Damour's own words, "The space is based on the world we inhabit where issues of diversity and inclusion are top-of-mind".
I love how they hung our planters in a cluster of 3 framing a big window, and used them as lanterns in the evenings by adding a votive candle.  During the day the light coming through the window made the brass and alabaster sing.

To have Architectural Digest and House Beautiful feature the rooms in the time  since my visit, has been icing on the cake.
